Advisory Council
The Advisory Council consist of Sustaining Partner Companies
The Advisory Council help leads the strategic direction of Gamma Iota Sigma to grow and sustain a robust and diverse student talent pipeline, ensuring the industry's vibrant future.
As an Insurance Operations Intern, you will gain an understanding of Insurance Operations from a Corporate perspective. This program will serve to provide you with insight into the administration and oversight of the various national programs and initiatives that currently fall within the scope of Insurance Operations.
The Ideal Candidate
An excellent candidate is someone who is professional, adaptable, and congenial with an inquisitive personality and strong critical thinking skills.
You should know how to take initiative but also know how to work in a team as a dependable member.
National Internship Program:
At AssuredPartners, our internship program was created to support the next generation of talent in finding meaningful, professional development experiences within the insurance industry. We expect all of our teammates to actively present new ideas, take a thoughtful approach to responsibilities, and help contribute to building our culture. You will grow with the help of an assigned mentor, be exposed to leadership, departments, and other interns, and create lasting connections.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the Insurance Operations Compliance Review process.
Participate in the Insurance Operations Due Diligence process.
Participate in the monthly administration of the AP National Sales Contest.
Participate in the New Acquisition Onboarding process.
Participate in the Revenue Recognition Newsletter process.
Participate in reviewing Revenue Recognition reports for the purpose of identifying data integrity issues.
Participate with updating the Revenue Recognition Field Manual & Process Manual as needed.
Observe and assist with updating the various IO SharePoint sites as needed.
Travel is expected to be negligible in this role.
Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in post-secondary education, ideally in a degree program concentrating in Risk Management & Insurance, Business Admin, etc.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents, and a high capacity for learning is critical.
Proficient Microsoft Excel skills.
