You will assist the Director of Group Risk Management in managing various enterprise risk management and some insurance activities with focus on executing the enterprise risk management framework worldwide, supporting selected insurance processes and building analytical risk models to drive insights and enable better decision making.
Main responsibilities:
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
• Coordinates the annual risk mapping with selected entities. Key activities include support and/or facilitation of training to risk governance leaders, provide guidelines and timeline for risk submissions, review risk submissions content and provide feedback
• Consolidates risk mapping results into insights by highlighting key risk areas and trends, reviews submissions content and provides guidance to risk governance leaders globally. Leverages technology to build analytics risk mapping analytics
• Supports creation of ERM tutorials and other risk materials to further enhance risk knowledge, culture, and best practices across the organization
• Conducts the annual ERM analysis on Emerging Risks by creating detailed report for the Director GRM and key stakeholders. Supports risk workshops to validate findings
• Supports GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tool implementation (2026) to manage risks under the ERM scope by documenting processes, performing user acceptance testing, supporting training efforts to risk owners and/or enterprise risk management leads globally
Insurance
• Supports risk management activities related to SLS Captive Insurance Company. Key activities include coordination of claims reporting, review of forecast and actuals operating income and balance sheet statements, support audit requests, premium allocation, review and ensure calendar of activities is on track, facilitates SLS invoicing process request/approvals
• Manages Certificates of Insurance (COI) requests and oversees annual COI renewal & distribution process
• Reviews and provides guidance on insurance clauses for contracts per Group Risk Management guidelines
• Supports Group Risk Management Insurance initiatives as needed
Analytics and Technology Tools
• Builds analytical models and dashboards leveraging different tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau and/or Excel) for ERM and Insurance including Risk Mapping, Emerging Risks and Trends, Survey Results, Risk Management Metrics, etc.
• Maintains and enhances Group Risk Management SharePoint site and its documentation
• Leverages collaboration tools such as Forms for internal Surveys and other projects
• Assists in the preparation of insurance market presentations and related information as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Enterprise Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Economics, Finance or related field
3-5 years of work experience in enterprise risk management, insurance, finance or related field
The ideal candidate will collect, monitor and study risk data to create presentations/visuals that help deliver analytical insight
Proven mathematical, analytical, research, and quantitative skills, in addition, candidate must have an inquisitive approach to analysis, asking provoking question, seeking additional information and challenging results when needed
Presentation and clear communication skills are a plus
Ability to translate data into insights leveraging analytical tools such as PowerBI and/or Tableau. Proficiency in Microsoft Professional Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms and Outlook
Communicate in a clear, concise, accurate and timely manner, both verbally and in writing
Intellectual curiosity, willingness to learn and adapt as the organization and role evolve overtime
Ability to handle sensitive information, and to act with discretion and judgement while maintaining confidentiality
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
This position is based in Shelton, CT, with hybrid working schedule (2 days at the office, 3 days at home)
