About This Internship
Arch’s 10-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.
About This Role
Assist in delivering Process Excellence (PE) initiatives focused on Underwriting Operations and strategic, digital-based projects.
Support the implementation of LEAN methodologies and digital enablement projects to build business capabilities.
Participate in structured problem solving, process mapping (flowcharts), and KPI identification for PE-led initiatives.
Contribute to the Underwriting Operations deployment, observing the impact of process improvements on business units.
Assist in the creation of presentation decks for executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
Actively completing area of study in Operations & Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or relevant program.
Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
College level - current Sophomore, Junior or Senior student.
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, strongly preferred.
Experience in Business Process Management (BPM) tools, including Aris, Miro, or Visio, preferred.
Prior experience leading a people or team, via student organization, sports team, or work experience, preferred.
Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
Team player who collaborates effectively.
Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location & Work Arrangement
The program dates are June 2 - August 8, 2025.
This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home.
This position is in Philadelphia, PA.
Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.

Pay
For individuals assigned to or hired to work in Philadelphia, PA, the hourly rate is $22-30 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits
