About This Internship
Arch’s 10-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.
About This Role
Contribute as a team member on the Global Strategy Internal Audit team, supporting internal audit processes. This team supports the overarching strategy rather than directly performing reviews or testing.
Conduct research on new audit guidance, sampling methodologies, work-paper templates, and approaches to improve internal audit reviews.
Contribute to the design and user acceptance testing of technology platforms.
Help execute the Quality Assurance & Improvement Program.
Assist the team to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal standards.
Assist in the preparation of Audit Committee report materials, Internal Audit (IA) policy procedures, and the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) playbook.
Collaborate with the core team to support global IA initiatives.
Liaise with external partners and consultants to coordinate internal audit efforts.
Qualifications
Actively completing area of study in Insurance & Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Business Management, or related program.
Interest in the insurance and/or financial services industries.
Experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) preferred, not required.
Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
College level – current Junior or Senior student.
Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
Team player who collaborates effectively.
Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location & Work Arrangement
The program dates are June 2 - August 8, 2025.
This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home.
This position is in Raleigh, NC.
Note: Relocation or housing assistance is not provided for this role.

Pay
For individuals assigned to or hired to work in Raleigh, NC, the hourly rate is $22-28 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
