Here’s What We Need:
Buckle is looking for an experienced, motivated and intellectually curious Actuarial Analyst who will be responsible with providing management with critical insights to grow our business by identifying new opportunities, developing solutions and building the infrastructure to support the actuarial function. A qualified candidate will be capable of handling special projects as they emerge, so strong technical skills are vital for this role.
Here's What We Are Looking For:
General Responsibilities
- Assess, verify, compile and derive insights from the data
- Build efficient processes and tools to conduct actuarial and quantitative analyses
- Apply statistical, actuarial and or modeling techniques to improve pricing segmentation, solve business problems and support business goals
- Evaluate new products and pricing variables and develop recommendations for leadership
- Partner with the Product Team to file and implement new or existing products in new or existing states
- Produce reports on analysis findings
- Provide stakeholders recommendations and provide advice on various options and scenarios
- Assist actuaries with technical support and analysis
- Perform ad-hoc work to support operational goals as needed

Your Skills Matter!
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated Experience with excel, SQL and R/Python
- Successful completion of at least one Casualty Actuarial society exams with intent to progress toward ACAS/FCAS designation
- Be able to work independently but also in close collaboration with the rest of the team, sharing information and ideas.
- Exceptional mathematical and statistical knowledge and understanding
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving
- Experience working with auto insurance preferred
