Oliver Wyman is seeking top talent to join our Property & Casualty consulting practice and has an opening at the analyst level in our Atlanta office. This position requires the candidate to work closely with our senior consultants to independently analyze complex problems and develop workable solutions for our clients.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Organize and analyze large volumes of data, ensuring integrity and accuracy
Identify data observations clearly and succinctly to senior team members
Verify technical accuracy of analyses
Prepare actuarial models for analyses
Utilize R and R Shiny to support a business intelligence application and other tools
Provide support for on-going development of new analytic tools
Assist in the preparation of proposals
Prepare exhibits for marketing/sales presentations
Maintain reasonable progress on actuarial exams
Requirements and Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, data analytics, economics, finance, business or related field
Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to manage demanding engagements
Innovative problem-solving skills and strategic thinking
Ability to work with limited direction and seek guidance when appropriate
Ability to quickly process and learn new concepts
Organized and capable of working on multiple projects
Ability to work in a team environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong command of Microsoft Excel
Programming experience in R
Experience with Python, Java, SAS, Microsoft Access, Word and PowerPoint as well as @Risk Microsoft Excel add-in is a plus
