The Pricing Research Intern will expand research and data analysis skills in a business environment. The Pricing Research Intern will also learn about insurance, loss drivers, and basic concepts of Property/Casualty actuarial work.
Work with a experienced team of actuaries to research market trends to be used in pricing (re)insurance contracts. Gather, assemble and analyze industry sources, and recommend indices and forecasts to be used in pricing.
Document findings and prepare presentations to explain results and make recommendation
Present findings to actuaries, underwriters and other internal stakeholders, in different divisions.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Strong in MS Excel
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills
Preferred Majors: Actuarial Science, Risk Management Accepted Majors: Field requiring modeling, programming or quantitative analysis (e.g., Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Business, etc.) Computer Skills: Strong Excel and data management, (Power BI, VBA, R, Python, SQL are a plus)
