This role will support the development, implementation and management of various aspects of Stryker’s worldwide risk management and insurance programs.
The Risk Analyst will be expected to perform various duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
providing project support to and generally assisting other personnel in Stryker’s Risk Management & Insurance (RM&I) Department;
providing day-to-day risk management and insurance support to Stryker’s operations, including performing contract reviews and handling requests for certificates of insurance and auto ID cards;
supporting the preparation of insurance renewal applications and specifications, including the collection, compilation and analysis of exposure information using the RMIS and other tools;
supporting the payment, accounting and budgeting activities associated with insurance premiums and other Departmental costs;
supporting the administration of Stryker’s various property and casualty insurance programs, including managing the handling and storage of insurance policies and other documentation;
helping to develop, maintain and/or manage the Department's risk management information system (RMIS), including the information contained within the RMIS;
performing claims administration duties, including but not limited to managing the monthly claims data feeds into the RMIS, reviewing/supporting the monthly billing of deductible losses by Stryker’s TPA and supporting the handling of rental car auto claims;
supporting risk management audit / inspection activities and compliance with established risk management policies;
managing of the Department's internal SharePoint site, including the maintenance of related content;
supporting the management of the operations of Stryker's captive insurance company;
supporting the identification of exposures to loss and the development and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation and loss control strategies, including property and casualty loss control and business continuity planning activities;
supporting the identification, evaluation and implementation of “best practice” risk management techniques;
supporting the development and implementation of risk financing strategies and alternatives, including annual insurance renewal strategies and current and potential captive insurance company uses;
supporting the Risk Management & Insurance (RM&I) Department's relationships with various internal customers and external business partners, including insurers, claims administrators, insurance brokers, risk management consultants and other vendors;
supporting risk management and insurance integration activities in support of Stryker's business development activities.
Bachelor's degree required, emphasis in a business discipline preferred;
Degree or emphasis in Risk Management & Insurance and/or completion of CPCU, ARM, CRM or similar coursework is a plus.
Experience: Will consider college graduates who have no prior work experience, but do have relevant education and/or training; previous work experience is a plus, especially directly relevant experience (including internships) with a corporate Risk Management & Insurance Department, insurance brokerage or insurance company.
