The Actuarial and Analytics Summer Internship Program provides qualified students an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand business experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and learn about the many actuarial or analytics positions available in the insurance industry. This challenging program also includes weekly business seminars, both peer and management social functions and a mentor program. Interns will work on challenging assignments that will utilize and develop their technical skills as well as their overall business skills.
Types of Work you may be Involved With:
Gain knowledge about the insurance business and acquire actuarial and advanced analytical experience working with key business areas (e.g. Business Insurance, Personal Insurance, Bond, Corporate, International)
Work in a collaborative and dynamic work environment providing recommendations to management on projects that deal with actuarial and advanced analytical related concepts
Identifying new opportunities for analytic solutions
Provide qualitative and quantitative data support to ensure accuracy of metrics
We offer paid intern positions in Hartford, CT and St. Paul, MN.

Positions are available beginning in early June and last approximately 10-12 weeks.
Undergraduate or Graduate
Related internships/work experience helpful
Cumulative overall GPA of 3.2 or greater
Scheduled, taken, and/or passed one CAS/SOA exam helpful
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, R, or SAS
Extra-curricular involvement on campus or in the community
Demonstrated analytical, mathematical, communication, and leadership skills
